After I failed the test at the safety course the first time, I was practicing in my neighborhood, determined I would learn how to ride that thing. Well, I turned left, and panic struck me, and I went down to my left, broke a peg, but that is all that happened to the bike. I too felt like I had a rib cracked, don't think I did though, but could hardly get in and out of bed. Hurt my ankle too. Swore i'd never get back on. The safety instructor called me the next week though, and said she had space in her class for me to come on Sunday and try again. I said I wasn't so sure. She said you better do it. So I did, practiced a little more on the Sat before, took the test and made an almost perfect score. Made me a believer on the adage that you go were you look. I was looking at the curb and that is where I went. NO MORE CURB LOOKING! riding safe
